CONNOR is THREE

Can you believe that my baby is THREE??? Very sad to me, but very happy to him. He has opened presents since April 20th when Pa and Maw Maw came over. He opened presents on April 23 from his friends at his party and from Grammy and Pop Pop, he opened presents on his actual birthday, April 24th from us, he opened a present from his aunt and cousins from Idaho on Friday and he opened presents on Monday April 28th from his Aunt Carrie, Josh and Madison (my co-workers children). He is lovin' this. It was very much a Diego Birthday. He has tried out almost all of his gifts and is giving them due diligence.
We had his party at Going Bonkers, an indoor playground, 4 of his friends came and one of his friends brough KK's friend so she was occupied as well. He partied from 5pm until 8:30pm.
Life has been pretty much going along. We had a great weekend, Trev and I went to the Byron Nelson golf tournament on Saturday and the kids had one of their favorite babysitters... and then on Sunday, I did not have to work and Trev did not have to volunteer so we had the WHOLE day as a family day and we very much enjoyed it.
This week marks my offical going back to work full time. I am very excited. It has been almost 5 years since I was full time, I have worked there some full time hours during the season but now it is official. I will be working in the suites department again, which I love and I will be working closely with one of my best friends.
Last week we signed KK up for her school. Very sad but good. I am trying to enjoy each day and I am starting a journal for each kid on things they do and things I am feeling. Hopefully if I do not lose them and if they are any good, the kids will get them when they are older and will enjoy reading about the different things that they did and how I felt about certain milestones throughout their lives. I am not very good about verbalizing my thoughts, but I can write down exactly how I am feeling.
Well... off to lay with KK during her nap because she is having a hard time falling asleep, only 3 more months of naps and then it is quiet time on the weekends since she will be in school.

Enjoy the Pictures!

we realized they were sitting in an ant den!!!!
Connor walked away with no bites, KK got 6 ( which
was very fortunate from the amount of ants that were on her
flip flops!!!) She was brave though, NO TEARS!

Hip Hip Hooray

Today was ENT check up day for KK and an inital consult for Connor. For KK we were doing a 6 month check up from the ruptured ear drum. Hearing test came back with still moderate hearing loss in the right ear. The Dr still thinks this is not permanent and will come back after ear surgery to replace her ear drum. All things remain the same and the earliest the surgery would be would be next year, normally done btn 6 and 10.

We were told back in September NO ear infections for KK. She has complied. Connor on the other hand has had 5; or 3 single ones and 2 back to back ones. Today the ears, nose and throat looked great on CB. We have elected not to rush into the tubes, the Dr. liked the look of his ears and fingers crossed no ear infections in the next 3-6 months and we may be out of the woods for him. We may go to an allergy specialist and see what allergies he has to help us with medicating him only during the season he needs it!!!

So Thanks God for all of that good news.

Today was also picture day for the kids... we do not have them back but, I had to take a couple of my own of KK.

KK's suggested pose. Best Picture of the Day!

Last night was the Bon Jovi concert!!! I went last year with Trev and had a blast! This year I went with some girlfriends and once again had a blast!! He was great. 2 1/2 hours worth of songs. And a Tony Romo sighting in the stands. It was a good night. Needless to say, dragging a little today since I went to sleep at 1:30AM!! Well it is off to gymnastics in a little while and this week we will definitely be able to be there on time, which is always of great concern to KK. She hates to miss the stretches!! Connor just likes to go and get a snack out of the vending machine. 2 more weeks and he will be attending a class at the same time as KK, he can't wait! So far this week is shaping up to be a GREAT week.

PS Cowboys schedule came out and our last game is DECEMBER 20th!! This is great news seeing as they play the 28th also, but not at home! Yipee!! Did I mention that this is a good day!

Football and Friends

This has been a different kind of week... We had a member of our church pass away last Sunday. At a church our size, over 20,000 members, you normally would not here from the stage about a passing, we would be talking about them all the time, but this member was on the music worship team for years and planned our women's ministry retreats and functions. On Monday I realized that I was taking this a little hard and spoke to a friend to find out I was not alone. She was only 34 years old and died of a brain aneurism. I did end up going to her funeral with my fellow pre-school staff members on Wednesday. After that I was able to put it behind me thank goodness. That night came some major thunderstorms, which have been more frequently lately I dropped the kids off at school in the dark, because of no electricity. 30 minutes later I received a call that they were not going to get it back on before the afternoon so the school was closed. Back home...the kids and I had fun after nap we made a MESS in the garage with playdoh and paints. And Saturday we joined up with some friends from work and went to the Desperados Arena Football game. We were in a suite, so the kids had plenty of room to roam. They thought it was neat that they could "yell" inside. The guy on the microphone even said that they could.

I love you 2!!!
Favorite Baseball Team Shirt Day at School!!

The girls checkin' out the cheerleaders in the program.
The boys taking a break from all of their runnin' around.

KK, Connor, Jake, Grace, Madison and Josh were all at the game together. Excluding Josh who is almost 13, Jake and Grace are 6 months younger than KK and Madison is 6 months younger than Jake and Grace. Just think 5 years ago in the F&B dept at Texas Stadium there were no little ones besides Josh!!!!

Cousin, Cousins, Cousins

2 1/2 years ago Trevor's sister's family relocated to Idaho. This move took our 2 nieces and 1 nephew and my good friend (that I saw once a week and used for my new mommy reference). I had not seen the kids since Christmas of 2006, the rest of the family had gotten together last August when the Cowboys had a couple games back to back. Needless to say we were very excited to have them back in Texas.
We met up at Six Flags on Friday, along with the rest of the metroplex. The little kids got to go on lots of rides, but the lines for the adult rides were 2 hours long. The girls were troopers and rode most of the kid rides with the little ones.

KK, Connor and Chase... Their own version of Superman!
Bugs and the Kids... The VERY FIRST TIME KK has been this close to a character... She is now ready for Disney World.

Saturday we had a birthday party for one of Trevor's high school buddys' 3yr old. Then it was off to Weatherford to spend the weekend with Amy and the grandparents. Mudpies that afternoon, led to bubbles, then water guns and finally an all out water balloon war. Yes, it was March in Texas and it was in the upper 70's. We used to do a jello filled egg war on Easter afternoon, but this year it was a spontaneous water fight.
Sunday, for the first time, we all went to church. We took up a whole pew. Normally we are rushing to the house after I have worked at the church and hurrying up all of the holiday festivities... but this year everything was on slow mode, which was very refreshing.
Monday, they came up to our side of town so Trev could take them to the airport on Tues AM, but first Trev wanted Chase to be able to visit Going Bonkers. Everyone loved getting their wiggles out there. We thouroughly enjoyed their visit.
The rest of the week was a little crazy, felt like we were behind the whole week. I worked on Sunday for an event that was located in the dirt out at the new stadium. That was neat.
This weekend motorcross is going on at the Stadium, a bunch of dirt bikes racing. Always something. KK has a birthday party for one of her classmates, this begins the Fab Five turning Five!!!!!
We started our first family devotion (As for me and my house)!!!!! The kids did great, it might be a tad old for them but we tried to tweak it for 3 and 4yrs old. They got it though because throughout this week they have been mentioning some of it!!!!!

Here are some pictures from the Brumlow visit!!!
