We are back from 6 days in Colorado. Trev stayed home as he does once a year when we go to Colorado... He watched 3 or 4 movies, golfed and relaxed while we were gone. Oh yeah and he cleaned this messy house we left behind in all of the furry to get packed and ready to go!!
We spent Thurs and Fri just with Grammy and Pop Pop. The kids really wanted to sled because they think that is what you do everytime you go to Colorado. Since there was not any snow on their hill in the backyard we were off to find a hill with snow. About 1/2 hour away there was a perfect hill and the kids got their sledding in... you would think that would have been the highlight of their day but NO... Pop Pop has a thing for mascots... he thinks it is funny to honk, wave or do something in order to get the mascot to wave at our family. So needless to say when he saw a chicken mascot on the side of the road he had to honk, but not once but like 6 times. The chicken did see us and he bowed, which the kids thought was GREAT. We drove by the chicken a total of 3 times (would have been 4 but he was gone) and each time the chicken waved... Pop Pop even rolled down his window so KK could say HI CHICKEN!!! much to my embarrassment in the back seat:) Out of all of the things we did in those 6 days this is still Connor's favorite thing! and it was FREE!
Saturday we picked up Aunt Carrie at the airport and met Uncle Blake in Denver. We went to a firefighter museum... ever in Denver, very kid friendly and after 2 hours we had to pull the kids away. We then went to a restaurant that had a theater stage. The food was bad but the kids liked the shows, the best part is the actors would dive into water, big hit. We then took the kids for their first bowling alley experience... This was not just any ordinary bowling alley, there were couches instead of those funky bowling alley chairs and it looked more like a club then a bowling alley, the prices reflected that too. The kids had a blast. They bowled on each of our turns, so they probably came close to bowling a whole game, which our scores reflected. We said good bye to Uncle Blake after an ice cream stop at McDonalds... it was a short visit with him but quality time which was good.
Sunday it SNOWED at the house so back to sledding... Carrie and I went to lunch and then to see Definitely Maybe... we had fun.
Monday was more sledding and then to Mr. Biggs an indoor play area for the kids.
We had lots of fun in Colorado, this was the first time though that KK realized it was sad to leave. When we got home she said she wanted to move to Colorado, I said what about Pa and Maw Maw and she said she wants everyone to live in one world, her world where she can go to everyones house whenever she wants.
Enjoy the pictures... A couple more than usual but it was 6 days

Oh yeah and we did an easter egg hunt TWO TIMES
for practice for the real thing in 2 weeks.
