Easter, The Real Meaning

This Easter is a special one for our family because our kids are beginning to understand in their little brains what Easter is all about. We don't skip all of those egg hunts and baskets but we do explain to them what Friday was all about with Jesus dying on the cross, and then on Easter he has risen. They understand that when we go to Heaven we don't come back, so now they are trying to figure out what car Jesus is going to pick them up in. Talking about Heaven to KK is neat because she starts to talk about the people that are up there waiting for us. She knows that some of them have been there longer than others and some of them she does not even know. Connor just recently has been talking to Jesus at random times and asking him to "fix" his heart when he does something wrong. So as tomorrow comes and we all get ready to put our "Easter" outfits on and do all of our hunting and eating we will also take a minute to remember the cost of this very special holiday.
