Kind of expensive little animals but with a little help from a gift card from last year and the extra money from the govt they are now Fuxas
Sunday we went to the driving range as a family to get dad ready for his golf day on Monday. They had a putting green so the kids practiced that while dad hit the balls really far. That night we had another camp out at the house with all 4 of us. Somehow the 3 pallets that we had set out for myself and the kids turned out to ONE big share on mommy's pallet, at one point in the night Trev said he saw one head and 2 sets of feet!! They were sleeping upside down for some reason?? We couldn't find a good movie at the Red Box so we opted to watch a KK and Connor movie. It was from 2006... it was fun and the kids really enjoyed it, I cried a little when we watched Connor crawl for the first time.
Monday it was off to Nini's pool for me and the kids and daddy was off to golf to try and win back the trophy from a fellow co-worker. The kids did really good in the pool considering it was the first of the season. KK almost went under the water and Connor at least got in several times. He had more fun watching Josh and his friend dunk each other under. When we got home we had a 1st place golf winner in our presence. The trophy is safely resting in our entertainment center for the kids to see, dad will take it back next week to proudly display it on his desk!!!
Another big milestone this weekend was BOTH children took showers, sounds small I know but WOW!!! They were washing the car on Saturday and Connor got soakin' wet and thought it was funny so after ear plugs for KK she decided she would try too... we told her it was like taking a shower so off to the bathroom for her to prove to us she could and 2 showers later, she is a Pro!!
This was one of our better extended weekends that we have had in a long time. Our sweet, polite, patient KK is back after taking a sabatical for 2 months. Her and Connor are getting along again and it is SOOO nice.
A funny from Connor today was he and Trev were putting in dishes in the dishwasher and Connor was trying to close it before they were done, so Trev told him not to close it and Connor proceeded with "You know better than that" Think he has heard us say that to KK a few times!!!
A few pictures from the weekend
Connor is not quite heavy enough (28lbs) to pop the balloon. And to think all of this time we have told him to be careful not to sit on the balloons they may pop. Then when we are trying to pop it, NOTHING!! Is this where kids stop believing everything their parents say??
